Deloitte had developed a way to track the Shadow Banking industry and needed graphics for the press conference and for online. They were not sure what to do and they had already had a couple of artists back out of the job due to the complicated subject matter and Deloitte's restrictive branding rules. I started by reading through their dense, 40-page report and thumbnailing the various graphic possibilities. We then worked together to develop an online infographic that would meet most of their print-oriented brand standards. Shown below is the front and back of a placemat-sized print piece designed to take away from the press conference. The feverline chart on the back is much more complicated than I would propose doing for a general readership but Deloitte's audience of analysts were used to complicated charts and appreciated having all the components compared side by side.
